Artist Statement

The Men's Spring 2009 Collection consists of ensembles for the man that wants to wear truly unique garments made extremely well, yet without a lot of fuss. The collection can be mixed and matched with ease to create many ensembles with a jacket, pair of trousers, vest, two shirts, and a tie. The Look Book reflects just some of the possibilities in Spring 2009.

Natural fibers with uncommon texture and depth are comfortable and rare. Cuts are relaxed but still put together. The collection is meant to give a man license to truly dress as an individual and not get lost in the sea of mass market nondescript men's garb.

An echo to the Women's Spring Prelude 2009 Collection, this collection combines the aesthetic of 1800's european upper class attire with glimpses of early 1900's immigrant garments while maintaining very modern sensibilities. Juxtaposing such different aesthetics is meant to blur social distinctions and create a harmony between high dress and everyday casual wear.
